Even though there are some things we’ll always prefer to do face-to-face, in-person training today often struggles to live up to the expectations of the modern worker – who wants everything at their fingertips.

Make it hyper-personalised
For training to be impactful, it needs to be tailored to each individual’s needs. When designing programs for thousands of employees it might seem like an impossible goal to achieve, but the good news is that with the help of online platforms, AI, 1:1 virtual coaching and curated content, it has become possible to design bespoke learning experiences even at scale.
Meet the learners where they are
For people to feel empowered to learn, they need to be able to easily access learning at the moment they need it. Whether they’re hanging out on Salesforce, LinkedIn or the company intranet – learning needs to be timely, easily accessible and integrated into their own time.
Employees today want to be able to pick and choose their learning as easily as they order their favorite meal on UberEats and with the speed of change in today’s world, organisations can’t afford to have it any other way.
Go digital or go home
The pandemic has accelerated the digitalization of L&D and it will continue to explode. VR and AR will take virtual collaboration to the next step and next-generation analytics will provide insights into what works, and what doesn’t. The millennials and Gen Z want bite-sized learning on-demand and not just that, they expect a seamless user experience too.
